Sometimes when you try sending a text message it may fail to send because your phone's signal is weak or the cell towers are clogged with traffic. This app helps solves that problem. If you are in an emergency situation, you can use this app to send your message to any phone number(s) in your contacts. If it fails, then it will continue making attempts until it successfully sends.
The idea for this app was born out of a conversation I had with my dad about the 2011 earthquake that shook the East Coast of the United States and Canada. My parents and I tried to send each other text messages saying that we were okay, but we were unable to send them because just about everyone on the East Coast was doing the same. This caused the cell towers to be clogged with traffic. A few days later, I talked to my dad about this problem and we came up with the idea for an app that continues trying to send until it succeeds at sending.
*** Note ***
This use to be on the Google Play Store, but Google changed how they were approving apps that used SMS related permissions and my app was taken down. I applied for an exemption, but was denied. I tried to find a work around, but I could not. Google wanted my app to send a text message by using another apps messaging capabilities, but that would not allow me to have access to the data that I needed to detect if a message was sent successfully or not. So now I am moving on to another project which is currently in the works.
